A new exhibition staged by the Royal Collection Trust has opened at The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, exploring the opulence and glamour of the Edwardian age through the lives and tastes of two of Britain’s most fashionable royal couples.

Focussing on King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, and King George V and Queen Mary, this is the first Royal Collection Trust exhibition to explore the Edwardian era. The display will bring together more than 300 items, almost half of which will be on display for the first time.

The exhibition includes fashion, jewellery, paintings, photographs, books, sculpture and ceramics. Visitors will see works by the most renowned contemporary artists of the period, including Carl Fabergé, Frederic Leighton, Edward Burne-Jones, Rosa Bonheur, John Singer Sargent, and William Morris.

The exhibition will run until 23 November 2025. Groups rates apply, and you can find out more here.
