The Silverstone Museum, located trackside at one of the world’s best-known motorsport circuits, is welcoming groups for 2024 and beyond.
The site houses a large collection of iconic race cars and motorbikes, and Silverstone Museum is also home to the British Racing Drivers’ Club archive collection. With interactive appeal for visitors of all ages, the Sim Suite at Silverstone is a purpose-built racing simulator facility where groups can get behind the wheel of a wide range of virtual race cars. The museum also includes a to-scale model of Silverstone in the Scalextric On Track exhibit.
The Heritage Track Trail takes visitors out onto the track itself. Groups can see the decommissioned Bridge and Priory corners from the pre-2009 Silverstone layout, with multiple info points telling the story of the track’s evolution over the decades. The trail ends at the historic Luffield Terrace which looks out on the current circuit – and it’s the perfect vantage point to take in any on-track action that might be happening during a visit.
The venue features ample parking for coaches, plus the Refuel Café on-site, serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks, and hot meals. Coach drivers get free admission to the Museum, with the usual dwell time in the attraction averaging at 2.5-3 hours.
