Family-owned Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth has achieved success in the 2020 Dorset Tourism Awards winning the Gold award for Hotel of the Year along with Business Events and Wedding Venue and Dog Friendly Business.

Having had a roller coaster of a year, the news brought a welcome boost to managing director Rosie Radwell and her team: “It has been an incredibly difficult and emotional year but we have dug deep and carried on planning in order to safeguard the business for the future – you can’t just sit still – the show must go on!

“Winning the Hotel of the Year category is a great testament to the resilience that has been needed during the last year. We have continued to plan and invest in the future of the hotel and are hopeful for a strong recovery when the time is right.”

The hotel is no stranger to industry awards and has enjoyed many successes including the prestigious Dorset Business Awards and last year they also went on to gain recognition at the South West Tourism Awards in the Business Events and Wedding Venue category.

Business development director Jane Swift adds: “The pandemic may have temporarily closed most hospitality and tourism businesses for the moment, but that hasn’t stopped us continuing to plan and market our business for the future. Awards such as these are incredibly important as they give us great exposure and let our guests know that we are at the top of our game.

“While the hotel has been closed, we have used the time wisely and invested heavily in the building so that our guests will benefit from the improvements that have been made when we are permitted to re-open. We look forward to welcoming groups and coach tours back just as soon as we can.”

The Marsham Court has 95 ensuite bedrooms and 9 meeting and event spaces for 2 to 280 delegates.
