CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS IN SCOTLAND – TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS TO BECOME LAW

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon this afternoon announced that the current guidance on travel restrictions in Scotland will become law from Friday 20 November 2020

This means people living in a level three or level four tiered area must not travel outside their own council area except for certain essential purposes, such as childcare, caring for someone vulnerable, exercise, urgent healthcare or shopping for essential goods

People living elsewhere in Scotland must not travel to level three or level four areas apart from in limited exceptional circumstances

Non-essential travel between Scotland and other parts of the UK will also be banned

 

CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS IN SCOTLAND – CHANGES TO THE 5 TIERS

It has been announced that the City of Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Stirling and West Lothian council areas will move from Tier 4 to Tier 5 from 20 November until 11 December

In addition East Lothian and Midlothian will move from level 3 to level 2 from 24 November

All other areas will remain in the same tiers as today
