Fantastic Fam to Shakespeare’s Globe and The View from the Shard

CTA members enjoyed a fantastic Fam trip in London earlier this month in an event organised by Shakespeare’s Globe and The View from The Shard.

The group enjoyed a guided tour ofThe Globe, a faithful reconstruction of the open-air playhouse, followed by a buffet lunch at The Swan Bar is The Globe’s on-site restaurant with stunning views of the Thames and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Globe Theatre guides then took the group the short distance along the river to The View from The Shard offering a glimpse back to Bankside’s Elizabethan past. Upon arriving at The View from The Shard, the story was brought right up to date with awe-inspiring 360 degree views of the city in this unique setting, including London’s highest observation decks split over two floors – the indoor viewing platform and an open-air sky deck – accompanied by a welcome complimentary glass of Champagne.
