The Swan at the Globe restaurant, part of Shakespeare’s Globe theatre on the banks of the River Thames overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral, has launched its first travel trade and group friendly Afternoon Tea, which is themed to Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet runs next door at the Globe until 17 October.
Combining local ingredients and a traditional afternoon tea setup, served on bespoke crockery, with sweets and cocktails inspired by the play, the Swan’s Romeo and Juliet afternoon tea can be a highlight of any trip to London.
This is the first time that the Swan has offered travel trade and group rates on its afternoon tea. Teas are bookable directly via Shakespeare’s Globe theatre. The tea is available as a stand-alone experience and/or it can be packaged with a tour of the globe or indeed a show.
The Romeo and Juliet afternoon tea is available until 28 November before it takes a break until a festive afternoon tea (still with a Shakespearean theme), from 29 November – 30 December, followed by a Midsummer Night’s Dream themed afternoon tea, which is open until 24 April 2022. Although the Festive Tea and Midsummer Night’s Dream Tea are not new, they are also now available at trade and group rates for the first time.
Menus and groups and trade pricing are available upon request from reservations@swanlondon.co.uk
