Lauren McSorley has been appointed as groups and tours sales manager at Vine Hotels. Lauren joins the sales team after being promoted from hotel manager at Mercure Southampton Centre Dolphin Hotel, a hotel owned and managed by Vine Hotels. She will be developing the groups and tours strand of the business and will represent Vine Hotels at key industry events and exhibitions in the coming months, including CTA networking events and BTTS in March.

Vine Hotels chief executive Garin Davies, says: “We are delighted to welcome Lauren to this new role. She will be responsible for developing sales, target setting, building key customer and client relationships, and engaging in business planning.  This new role has a particular focus on tours and group bookings – an increasingly important development area as Vine Hotels has acquired hotels and venues in key regions with a specific tourism focus.”

Lauren adds: “It’s such a brilliant time to be part of this hotel group, which is not only performing particularly well against a tough economic backdrop but is standing by its commitment to push forward those staff who are striving for new challenges.

“I’m excited to be representing Vine Hotels at some key industry events in the coming months, meeting tour operators and agents, and I’m looking forward to really putting my stamp on this new role.”

The appointment follows the announcement that Vine Hotels is taking over the management of the Best Western York House Hotel, Eastbourne, after successfully completing a multi-stage, competitive tender process. The property takes the number of hotels owned and managed by Vine Hotels to thirteen, following a string of acquisitions, including Bredbury Hall Hotel in Cheshire, The Old Rectory, Handsworth and The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel, Warwick.
