Betws-y-Coed’s The Swallow Falls Inn, owned by The Inn Collection Group, is set to reopen after long-term closures.
Located close to the spectacular waterfall of the same name on the Afon Llugwy, The Swallow Falls Inn will undergo a full and extensive refurbishment to bring it back to life. Plans include a new bar and restaurant and 40 bedrooms.
Meanwhile, in the shadow of the Great Orme, the refurbishment of Llandudno’s St Kilda Hotel, also owned by The Inn Collection Group, will provide 52 bedrooms as well as a fully refurbished bar and kitchen.
Meanwhile, Corris Caverns, between Dolgellau and Machynlleth, is the new brand name for the attractions and experiences that start from the Corris Craft Centre in Mid Wales, including King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explorers, The Welsh Legends Maze, Corris Café and Welsh Deli, and craft workshops.
At King Arthur’s Labyrinth, open annually Easter to end of October, groups sail underground and into the Labyrinth in groups of 18 people per boat. Multiple boats can be booked for larger groups with boats sailing every 15 minutes, with group discounts available for 15+.
Corris Mine Explorers is open all year for group bookings and offers authentic explorations of the old Braich Goch slate mine for groups of up to 40, with discounted group rates for 10+.
The Welsh Legends Maze is open annually Easter to end of October. As visitors navigate winding paths, they’ll find intriguing characters waiting to tell their stories, and the maze plays host to a range of wildlife.
Corris Craft Centre features nine workshops, open Easter to end of October. Hands-on experiences are often presented, which can be booked directly with the individual businesses. These include Pottery Painting (groups of up to 20) and Chocolate making (groups of up to 12). Furniture Building, Pottery Throwing, and Candle Making are also available for smaller groups. Dyfi Distillery offers private visits and tutored tastings for groups of between eight and 20 people.
Meanwhile, The Corris Café and Deli is open February to December, featuring an all-day menu. For pre-booked groups of 15 people or more, special group meal menus are available, and the venue seats up to 80 people.
With free coach parking with a coach drop off point right next to the entrance, coach drivers receive a complimentary refreshments voucher.
