The National Trust’s Kinston Lacy along with Coastal Cruises Poole will the host the main fam trips at CTA Winter Networking on Sunday 22 November.

A lavish family home re-imagined as a Venetian Palace, Kingston Lacy in Wimbourne Minster, Dorset hosts paintings by renowned artists such as Rubens, Van Dyck, Titian and Brueghel, with the National Trust staging the house as a miniature ‘national gallery’ for the South West. The house also presents the UK’s largest private collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts.

Kingston Lacy house was developed in 1834 and modelled in a Venetian style, while outside, visitors today can enjoy 8,500 acres of estate, featuring Iron Age hill forts, colourful heathland, water meadows and the world’s oldest pedigree herd of Red Ruby Devon cattle.

At CTA Winter Networking, delegates will experience a walking guided tour of Kingston Lacy’s gardens using Vox audio headsets before enjoying a tour of the house led by National Trust guides.

In the afternoon, CTA members will experience a cruise of Poole Harbour, Europe’s largest natural harbour, courtesy of Coastal Cruises Poole. The cruise passes sights including Brownsea Island, Millionaire’s Row, and Sandbanks Peninsula, with educational and interesting commentary provided throughout by the Captain, bringing the fascinating history of Poole Harbour to life.

including Cream Teas, Afternoon Teas, and Fish & Chips, plus a wide range of special events, including tribute evenings, foodie evenings, and Murder Mystery evenings.
