CTA member Thwaites Hotels has won the AA Group of the Year prize at the AA Hospitality Awards 2025. The award category was for large hotel groups providing the best levels of service, food, and accommodation across the range of properties.

The ceremony, hosted by TV and radio presenter Vernon Kay, was held at the end of September at London’s Grosvenor House.

The Lancashire-based, family-run hospitality group operates a collection of 23 hotels and inns across England. Thwaites’ modern spa hotels and coaching inns cover areas such as the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Cotswolds.

Euan Davidson, Senior Hotel & Restaurant Inspector at The AA, said: “Thwaites stands out as a diverse operator where quality shines, and the authentic hospitality culture it’s known for runs through all of its operations.”

Founded in 1807, Thwaites has grown from a family-run brewery into a celebrated collection of spa hotels, inns, and pubs.
