There was a great piece on The One Show, BBC1 (19 Feb) highlighting the desire for coach passengers to get back out there on holiday!
Lovely to hear first hand from eager coach customers about the importance of having something to look forward to this year.
The One Show reporter Kevin Duala commented: “There’s particular demand from older travellers, convinced they’ll have had their second jabs. Many can’t wait to pack their suitcases.”
And well said CTA member John Johnson: “Our customers are all telling us they are really keen to get away. We just need the government to switch their green light on. I think that’s what the whole tourist industry is hoping for next week.”
And if you needed any convincing that there is huge pent-up demand fo coach holidays, just listen to some of the comments from coach customers:
“I’m hoping to go on a coach trip to Durham. The vaccine now gives us the confidence to look forward to hopefully being able to do that.”
“I’ve got five holidays booked for this summer. I’m trying to just make up for lost time and see as much as I can while I am able to.”
“We’re all desperate to go away with friends – where somebody else is going to get the meals and somebody else is going to do the washing up.”
“The travel industry has had a very tough time and if we customers don’t book things, how will they survive? We need to have confidence in them. As Captain Tom said: ‘Tomorrow is going to be a better day’”
