It’s been a year since The British Bird of Prey Centre moved to its new site in Idole, Carmarthenshire, in October 2025, and the attraction has welcomed multiple coach groups over the 12 months.
Open every day, groups can enjoy three flying shows per day, taking place at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, in indoor and outdoor arenas. During the shows, the centre presents raptors such as hawks, owls, falcons, buzzards, eagles, and kites, including the opportunity to see a golden eagle in flight and red kites catching food mid-air.
Talks on the birds take place throughout the day and visitors can see the centre’s residents up close when they’re not flying. An indoor centre also hosts interactive activities including identifying the bird call and experiencing the sight of an owl with night vision goggles.
The centre has continued to improve its facilities by adding two coach park bays, a driveway, an undercover wet weather area, and a café. Groups of any size can be accommodated, and discounted admission applies to groups of 10 or more, with meet-and-greet on arrival plus free entry and refreshments for the driver.
Flexible itineraries can be planned to fit a schedule, and group flying activities including owls and kites are also offered for up to 15 people.
The site is accessible throughout and is suitable for wheelchairs, including accessible toilets.
