CTA is deeply saddened by the news that Stacy Whittington, The QHotels Collection, died suddenly last Wednesday (31 May). Stacy was very well known right across the CTA membership and was  a regular and very enthusiastic attendee of our networking events. Stacy’s presence will be sorely missed by all her friends and colleagues in CTA who we know will have their own special memories of the warmth and joy she brought to our events.

On behalf of our members, we would like to express sincere condolences to Stacy’s family and close friends.

The following statement has been issued by The QHotels Collection:

“We are so sorry to share news, that tragically, Stacy Whittington died suddenly on Wednesday 31st May.

Stacy was an Account Director, responsible for Leisure in our National Sales Team. She was universally loved and respected by her colleagues, here at The QHotels Collection, such a valued member of our team and a trusted friend. Stacy was already an industry veteran and had close relationships with her clients and the vast network she has built over her career. 

For those of you that knew Stacy well will remember her for her vibrant personality, kindness, and infectious laugh. We will all miss her terribly.

Our thoughts are with all that are touched by this loss, especially her family and close friends.

The funeral will take place on Monday 26 June 2023 at 11am at St Mary’s Church, London Road, Apsley, Hemel Hempstead HP3 9ST.

The service will be followed by a private burial attended by family members and close friends only, before celebrating Stacy’s life from 1.30pm at a venue in Hemel Hempstead yet to be confirmed.
