The Scottish Government has confirmed that it has now moved to Phase 3 of its route map out of the Covid crisis, and accommodation and attractions (who are able to and who are following hygiene and distancing guidance) will re-open from 15 July. Over 3,000 Scottish businesses have signed up to the ‘Good to Go’ scheme to date. See the graphic below for details of the steps involved in Phase 3.

The full government statement is here.

In addition, Scotland has a new Visitor Charter to reinforce the messaging about the safe opening up of its tourism sector.

The Charter says: “By working together, we can enjoy the best of Scotland to help our tourism industry get back on its feet in a safe way”.

The Charter graphic includes messages to visitors on protecting themselves and others, supporting local tourism and being considerate of local communities. The Charter adds: “What makes Scotland so special is its culture and warmth of welcome from local communities, so please respect their precious resources. If it’s busy, move on and explore somewhere different”.
