Visit Scotland’s latest travel trade bulletin includes information on a number of events and attractions including the forthcoming Solheim Cup, the biggest event in women’s golf, which takes place at PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, Perthshire from 9 – 15 September 2019, fascinating whisky tour opportunities at The Spirit of Ardnahoe on Islay, and Glencoe’s new eco-friendly visitor centre.
Tickets for the Solheim Cup are available now and Visit Scotland is promoting the potential of exciting golf packages for this sporting spectacle.
Meanwhile the best of traditional whisky making and modern techniques and equipment can be seen at Ardnahoe with a range of one-hour group tours available.
The new visitor centre at Glencoe, nestled in a woodland glade, offers great insights into this dramatic landscape and includes new features including a short film which takes visitors on a journey through millions of years, narrated by Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann, as well as panoramic views and a chance to refuel in the Highland Coo Café.
CTA operators and wholesalers are also reminded that at this year’s Summer BBQ event on 29 July, there is a chance to take part in the Visit Scotland Workshop on the Monday morning. A range of suppliers from across Scotland will be attending and there is a chance for one-to-one meetings to give you the latest insights and inside tracks on making your Scottish programmes even more exciting.
If you haven’t already booked for the BBQ, use this link to do so now and select the ‘Visit Scotland workshop’ option.
