CTA members will have received a timely reminder from the Royal Horticultural Society about their forthcoming Sculpture Exhibition, in a personalised mailshot along with a complimentary packet of seeds!
RHS Garden Wisley is launching an amazing new group booking opportunity between 30 May and 1 December 2019 with a Sculpture Exhibition including exhibits from Henry Moore, Henry Bruce, Lynn Chadwick, Tracey Emin, Philip Haas and Phillip King.
The full details of the exhibition along with the 2020 Group Garden Guide and a packet of seeds was mailed to all CTA members last week.
The new major exhibition of modern and contemporary sculpture, Sculpture at Wisley 2019, will feature the work of six seminal 20th and 21st century artists to highlight the relationship between sculpture and the cultivated landscape in the first exhibition of its kind at an RHS Garden.
Curated by sculptor Susan Bacon, the pieces on display will be sited around the 240-acre garden to demonstrate a connection between the spirit of the works and their surroundings. “Each piece of sculpture we have chosen connects to the landscape and becomes part of it,” says Susan Bacon. “Sited within the ever-changing long views of Wisley, these huge pieces affect that change as well as opening the eye to see both the gardens and the sculpture in a different way.”
Groups visiting the garden will be able to enjoy access to this beautiful artwork as part of their garden entry – prices from £12.20pp when pre-booking groups of 10 plus.
