Loving Welsh Food has launched a new coach tour itinerary including Castles & Cuisine, combining Welsh castles, Welsh cuisine, Cardiff city centre, and the tranquil surroundings of the Vale of Glamorgan, known as the Garden of Cardiff.

Open to coach operators, the tour itinerary takes place from 10:00hrs to 1700hrs and includes a guided visit of Cardiff Castle followed by lunch at the Welsh House. The Welsh House is an independent regional restaurant and bar serving locally produced, fresh dishes, experienced in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

The tour then moves to a guided visit of Fonmon Castle – one of the few medieval castles which is still lived in as a home. The castle was built by the St. John family in the early 13th century and has changed hands only once. The visit includes tea and home-made cake, or afternoon tea, enjoyed in one of Fonmon Castle’s beautiful rooms overlooking the landscaped gardens.
