Southport has announced its key event dates for next year including the Flower Show (17-20 August), Air Show (9-10 July), Food & Drink Festival (2-4 June), British Musical Fireworks Championship (22-24 September) and Southport Comedy Festival (29 September – 15 October).
After a year away, The Food and Drink Festival returns to Victoria Park in September. This free event is a celebration of local and regional food and drink. The three-day festival promises tasty treats for the whole family, and this year has the added bonus of a complimentary home and garden experience.
And the Southport Airshow really is a spectacle to behold. Fast jets roaring, historic aircraft gracefully soaring through the air. Test your fitness against the family on the assault course in the Air Show Village. Experience the next best thing to being in the aircraft in a simulator or enjoy watching the displays with a picnic on the beach.
Browsing the wonderful delights of the Southport Flower Show offers a slower pace with a chance to explore the fantastic floral displays. And music and magic fill the sea air at the British Musical Fireworks Championship – the only UK firework competition choreographed to music.
