Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves in Devon has joined the CTA. As one of the most significant Stone Age sites in Europe and part of the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark, the caves have been welcoming visitors for over 120 years and are one of Devon’s leading attractions.

A guided tour takes visitors through an extensive cave system once home to Neanderthals and early modern humans. Guests will encounter spectacular chambers, fascinating geology, and the stories of the ancient people who lived in the underground labyrinth.

Beyond the caves, the site offers a café, gift shop and woodland trails, creating a great day out for groups of all ages.

Kents Cavern has a strong history of working with coach groups, offering dedicated packages with free admission for drivers and group organisers. The team provides a welcoming and flexible service, helping operators build itineraries to suit their customers and specific requests.

New for 2026 is an Agatha Christie-themed package, linking the attraction to Christie’s 1924 novel The Man in the Brown Suit, in which Kents Cavern inspired the fictional “Hampsley Cavern”.

Groups can also enjoy seasonal highlights such as Carols in the Cave, an atmospheric Christmas celebration featuring live choirs in the stunning underground setting.

By joining the CTA, Kents Cavern looks forward to building stronger partnerships with coach and group operators, sharing knowledge and supporting the continued growth of UK coach tourism.
