CTA members have been fielding a huge volume of enquiries from their customers and contacts and here’s an excellent example of how to communicate from one of our members, ITO Tours:
Dear Group Organisers
“The message today is that WE ARE OPEN all day, and every day from today onwards. We will phone as many people as we can even if you just want to have a chat about the weather, a TV soap, or even football, then we are here for you. Those we cannot speak to by voice, let us speak by email.
“Our message is, we do not to expect you to book a trip to travel tomorrow, or next week, or next month, but to tell you about the many things we will have for you and your members once things get back to a sense of normality.
“We don’t want to be unsympathetic to the situation around us, but we are a GOOD NEWS story. We will not be furloughing our staff, we are preparing to be ready for the day when things will be better as we have hotels held, and booked for groups, not only for this year but the whole of next year.
“We WILL NOT be increasing prices to recoup losses because our owners have assured us that we didn’t overspend on anything in the first place. We operate our business in a sensible manner and our owners’ most important investment is in us, the staff. The strength of our team is to believe in our future, to do the work we are paid to do, and believe in each other. “We 100% know that because of what we have in place for you, our group organisers, our future success is assured because WE BELIEVE many group organisers are still ready to start promoting trips when the time is right.
“We know that together with your support and commitment, we will not let each other down. So please rest assured that we know, and believe day by day, the world will be a better place.”
