CTA chair Robert Shaw reports that his company, Harry Shaw, has recently brought tourism home to its base in Coventry. To mark UK City of Culture 2021, a group of GTOs were hosted at the luxurious Coombe Abbey Hotel and visited a host of attractions including The Charterhouse, St Mary’s Hall, Cathedral and Transport Museum. The group were also able to see the new Two Tone exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery and museum.
There were welcome messages from the Dean of Coventry Cathedral and the Lord Mayor, and insights were provided into the series of events planned for the City Of Culture year at a special dinner hosted by Coventry’s new 4-star Telegraph Hotel located in heart of the city with its own roof-top bar.
