CTA member Long Mynd Travel is working to support the local community in Shropshire where it is based by kindly offering a free of charge service for the county’s residents over 70 and in the vulnerable category, with transport to and from vaccination centres. Long Mynd is offering free travel to vaccine centres in Shropshire in between school runs; Mon to Friday 9.30-14.00.
Director Val Sheppard-Evans has already been interviewed by BBC Radio Shropshire and the Shropshire Star newspaper and reports that her facebook site has gone viral. “I normally only get about 500 interactions on facebook, but so far I have had over 56,000, so I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew!
“However, we need to get the general public vaccinated so we can get some confidence out there so that people will travel again.”
