A new exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, reveals life in the eighteenth century through fashions of the day. Style & Society: Dressing the Georgians aims to explain life in Britain during a revolutionary era of industry, trade, travel, and technological innovation.
On display until 8 October 2023, the exhibition reveals how the Georgians ushered in cultural trends we know today. Groups can enjoy an exhibition talk by an expert from The Royal Collection Trust, and visitors can then learn more in a self-guided tour. Alternatively, groups can access an exclusive after-hours talk, or a private morning visit ahead of opening hours. For more information on the exhibition, visit this web link.
Over to Windsor Castle, The Royal Collection Trust is also presenting groups with private tours of Queen Mary’s Doll’s House, while groups can find out more about Queen Elizabeth’s life at the Castle in this special tour. Groups will gain new insights into the castle and how it shaped Queen Elizabeth II’s life. Groups can also enjoy tours of Windsor Castle in private – see more here.
Meanwhile in Scotland, groups can also enjoy tours of The Palace of Holyroodhouse, taking place until 31 December, with all the details at this link.
