Excursions, heralded as the UK’s longest-running one-day group travel show, took place on Saturday 1 February at Wembley Stadium’s Great Hall. Now in its 51st year, the event attracted over 600 exhibitors and visitors, according to event organiser Tourism South East.

Excursions aims to connect group travel organisers, coach operators, tour planners, and itinerary experts with destinations, attractions, venues, cruise companies, hotels, and resorts from across the UK and Europe.

Guests were treated to free Wembley Stadium tours, and VIP guests arriving via the Private Coach Arrivals Programme enjoyed a familiarisation trip to Potters Five Lakes Resort, and Epping & Ongar Railway.

As in previous years, the geographic format of the show enables exhibitors to join forces as part of co-ordinated stands, such as Visit Kent and Experience Oxfordshire.

Alanna Kite from Visit Kent said: “A great, successful day again at Excursions, on which we showcased everything Kent can offer for group visits. We were delighted to be joined by nine Kent partners and to meet group travel organisers who were very interested in visiting our county.”

Fran Downton, CEO of Tourism South East, said: “Excursions remains an invaluable event for the group travel industry, highlighting the sector’s ongoing demand for group travel. Exhibitors reported valuable discussions, reinforcing Excursions as a crucial opportunity for quality networking and business development. We’re proud to be at the heart of these connections, helping to spark fresh ideas and foster collaboration within the industry.”
