A new wine shop at Waddesdon Manor offers the most comprehensive range of Rothschild wines in the UK and a perfect environment to taste rare Grand Cru wines by the glass.
There are 126 Rothschild wines on offer, and a further 50 hand-picked guest wines. As a result of its prestige and global appeal, the Rothschild portfolio is subject to the threat of fraudulent reproductions.
Waddesdon is one of only a few shops globally that sell mature ex-cellars Chateau Mouton and Chateau Lafite Rothschild. To make the most of these iconic vintages, the new shop contains a custom-built cooling unit that allows the full range of Grand Cru (priced from £120 to £25,995 a bottle) to be visible to the visitor. Highlights include Château Mouton 1982, Château Lafite 1961 and Château L’Evangile 1982. The shop stocks wines for every pocket however, from just £7.50 a bottle, and has 27 wines under £12.
The new shop also showcases exclusive gins and beers using botanicals and fruits gathered from the Waddesdon estate, as well as a range of charcuterie and cheese.
Groups can enjoy pre-booked wine tours of the cellars as well as free tastings every day.
