Morning FAM Visit – Kingston Lacy

Delegates will visit Kingston Lacy, one of Dorset’s most important heritage properties and an outstanding example of a 17th-century Italian-inspired country mansion.
About Kingston Lacy
Once the seat of the influential Bankes family, the estate offers a fascinating insight into over 400 years of history, from political upheaval during the era of Oliver Cromwell to remarkable global collecting expeditions, including one of the UK’s most significant private collections of Egyptian artefacts.
Inside the house, highlights include works by Rubens, Van Dyck, Titian and Brueghel, alongside the extraordinary Egyptian collection assembled by William John Bankes during his travels in 1818. Delegates will also explore the elegant Spanish Room, featuring ornate Venetian gilded interiors, and the interactive Egyptian Room experience, which brings the collection to life through digital interpretation.
Gardens & Estate: Set within beautifully designed formal gardens created by Henrietta Bankes, Kingston Lacy offers a varied landscape of gardens, woodland, and parkland.
