Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, one of Britain’s most breathtaking natural landmarks, is presenting its Cave and a Cake offer to coach groups as a short stop-off.
For £18.45 per person with pre-booking, group visitors receive entry to the spectacular Gough’s Cave, one of Britain’s most iconic show caves, plus a hot drink and a slice of cake in Gough’s Café.
Excavated in the late nineteenth century, Gough’s Cave is the largest show cave in Cheddar Gorge, with cathedral-like caverns and atmospheric lighting. The cave has a mild constant temperature of 11°C, making it suitable for a visit at any time of year.
Audio guides are available covering a host of languages, and transcripts and audio loop systems are available for those with impaired sight and hearing. Gough’s Cave contains steps and can be wet underfoot so is unsuitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
Cheddar Gorge says that a visit is an ideal addition to a coach tour programme, whether routing through Somerset or planning a dedicated West Country day, and can deliver a variety of experiences including stunning geology and rich history set in a beautiful landscape. Cheddar Gorge also has a dedicated groups team to make booking straightforward, and pre-booked pricing is available to streamline entry on the day.
