Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great ocean liner, has joined the CTA. Today, the ship rests in dry dock in Bristol’s vibrant harbourside as a leading attraction for the city.

In an immersive and sensory experience, groups can discover how Isambard Kingdom Brunel revolutionised travel and set new standards in engineering. Aboard the vessel, visitors can hear stories about those who travelled on SS Great Britain and learn about the remarkable journey of the ship’s return to the dock it was built in.

The site also includes two interactive museums as well as collections housed at the Brunel Institute. For group dining, the recently refurbished waterside dining venue, The Board Walk, offers breakfast, lunch and evening menus.

The SS Great Britain team can include a wide range of added experiences including talks, tours, and private catering to enhance a group visit. Winning more than 30 major tourism, heritage, conservation and access awards, Brunel’s SS Great Britain is ready to welcome groups for a history-making day out.
