Blenheim Palace is marking 150 years since the birth of Sir Winston Churchill. The estate is celebrating his extraordinary life with an exciting line-up of events including weekly Churchill at Blenheim tours, VIP tours of the Palace State Rooms, Churchill exhibition and Private Apartments, as well as a tour to Churchill’s grave.

Churchill at Blenheim tours run every Wednesday between February and October. Blenheim also hosts ‘Winstan’, an impersonation created by Stan Streather as a tribute to the great wartime leader, bringing Winston Churchill to a new generation, and visitors can meet Winstan on selected days. Visits can also be combined with an afternoon tea.

Meanwhile, Churchill items on display at the Icons of British Fashion exhibition include one of the original Churchill Siren Suits, on loan from Turnbull & Asser, as well as a new take on the iconic boiler suit, and a specially designed smoking cap.

Blenheim Palace has also announced the opening of its newest display, The Victorian-Edwardian Library, which showcases how the Palace looked from the 1880s to the early 1900s. The library also highlights significant moments of history at the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Long Library features furniture arranged to replicate how it would have looked during the gilded Victorian-Edwardian age. The room and display tables feature historical items of interest, including old books that visitors can explore, original scrolls to unfurl, as well as archive photographs, albums, and original press cuttings with the gossip of the time.

Alongside the artifacts, visitors will be able to discover more about the history of the Palace during the time of the 7th, 8th, and 9th Duke and Duchess.

The Victorian-Edwardian Library display is included within the Blenheim Palace ticket including Palace, Park and Gardens, Park and Gardens, Annual Pass or a Privilege Pass.
