BBC Tours, taking place at BBC Cymru Wales in Central Square, Cardiff, has received a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award for the second year in a row, and a 2025 Visit Wales Gold award for the quality of the experience.

The only BBC site currently open to the public, at BBC Cymru Wales, groups can join an award-winning behind-the-scenes BBC Tour at Central Square and step into the future of broadcasting at BBC’s newest and most advanced studios.

During a visit, groups can experience the BBC Cymru Wales newsroom and view the TV galleries and other broadcast facilities, including the latest technology such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and robotic cameras.

The guided tours last for 1hr 30mins and are available for groups of up to 20 people. They operate at 1030hrs, 1230hrs, and 1500hrs on Wednesday and Sunday, subject to availability. Larger groups can be divided across two shorter 45min tours. As a live and working broadcast centre, no two tours are the same.

BBC Cymru Wales is located directly opposite Cardiff Central train station, with excellent transport links. The coach drop-off and pick-up points are situated at Fitzhamon Embankment and Taff Embankment, a short 3 minute walk away. A dedicated off-street coach park with 24-hour CCTV is available close to the city centre at Sophia Gardens.
