The latest VisitAberdeenshire travel trade product update features information from Inverurie Whisky Shop and Aberdeen Maritime Museum.

The Inverurie Whisky Shop offers a range of whisky experiences suitable for groups, including tutored tastings and masterclasses. Offering Scotland’s first accredited Scotch Whisky course, clients can spend the day learning to become Whisky Ambassadors. Gin tasting experiences are also available.

The Aberdeen Maritime Museum enables visitors to discover the story of the city’s long and often dramatic relationship with the sea, through fascinating objects and artworks associated with shipbuilding, fishing, whaling, trading and offshore energy. Guests can also take in the detail of the 9m scale model of the Murchison oil production platform – as close as many will ever get to an offshore oil rig.

The collections are displayed over four floors in the modern museum building and the historic 16th century Provost Ross’s House, and the museum offers fantastic views over Aberdeen Harbour.
