Helmsley Walled Garden is five glorious acres set in the North York Moors: a patchwork of intimate gardens, stunningly planted with beautiful displays of flowers, fruit and vegetables. It’s full of colour and corners to explore as well as places to sit and relax and was a location in the latest film adaptation of The Secret Garden.

Enjoy drinks and light lunches at the award-winning Vine House Café. Or check out our garden shop and plant centre for plants propagated in the garden as well as gifts, cards, books, food and drink made in Yorkshire.

Perfect for group visits who can also spend time in the pretty market town of Helmsley, at the Centre for Birds of Prey or Helmsley Castle. Other attractions in close proximity include Rievaulx Abbey, Rievaulx Terraces and Nunnington Hall.

Fully accessible, dogs welcome on leads. Wheelchairs available.
