Tickets to Kynren 2026, the epic tale of England presented in an outdoor spectacular show, are now available. Meanwhile, construction is gathering pace at the new action park that will run alongside the live production.
The Kynren show in Bishop Auckland will take place on selected evenings between July and September. The live production tells a story of England’s history, presented with a large cast of actors, re-enactors, and animals, supported by spectacular visual effects.
This summer, the new Kynren – The Storied Lands attraction, described as the UK’s first live-action show park, will open for daytime admission alongside the evening show performances. The new attraction will introduce five experiences, each set within environments inspired by history, myth and legend.
Part of the new development is the Lost Feather arena that will feature a colossal bird’s nest. When complete, the 2,500-seat arena will form the setting for a mass free-flying bird experience. More than 250 birds will take to the sky in the production, flying across the arena that includes a lake and sweeping hillside stage.
The result is planned to inspire awe and foster a deeper understanding of the fragile relationship between birds and humanity, along with the need to protect bird species.
The Lost Feather will be joined by further new live-action productions including an medieval horse spectacle, a high-impact Viking show, and Legend of the Wear, a dramatic retelling of the Lambton Worm myth set on a lakeside stage.
