The View from The Shard has announced the return of The Slide, an exhilarating 360-degree Virtual Reality experience which is back by popular demand for a limited period.
Visitors to London’s highest attraction will be able to enjoy the thrill of ‘The Slide’ travelling at up to 100mph down and around the iconic building, using the latest VR technology to deliver an even more realistic journey.
The Slide invites visitors to sit on a specially designed seat which moves in tandem with what the participant sees through their headset, simulating the experience of an ultimate helter-skelter ride which starts 800ft above the city.
“We are always looking for new initiatives that will appeal to our guests and enhance their visit to London’s tallest viewing gallery,” says Chris Mines, general manager, The View from The Shard. “The Slide has proven extremely popular in the past and we are delighted it is returning – the latest technology will give guests a terrifyingly real immersive experience.”
Tickets are available at the venue at a cost of £12 per person and must be used in conjunction with an admission ticket for the attraction.
