Strawberry Field, the award-winning heritage attraction forever linked to John Lennon, is offering groups a Christmas lunch or Seasonal afternoon tea to complement a visit to the exhibition and authentic gardens.

The accessible interactive exhibition tells the history of the children’s home, the Salvation Army, John Lennon’s childhood and the writing/recording of Strawberry Fields Forever. John’s Imagine piano is a must see! Meanwhile, the gardens, home to the original iconic red gates, offer a peaceful oasis for groups looking to relax in nature. A new garden audio tour is also available, using soundscapes to explore mindfulness and connect with nature.

For the festive season, the Imagine More Cafe offers seasonal delights and spiced winter warmers, all made with locally sourced ingredients. Coach tour guests will also enjoy stocking up on unique, locally designed cards and gifts at the Strawberry Field shop.

New features see music returning to Strawberry Field with The Strawberry Field Bandstand. One of the most technologically advanced bandstands in the world, the feature has been unveiled at the gardens as a continuation of John Lennon’s legacy and a celebration of music. As Beatles fans may spot, it was inspired by the drum featured on The Beatles’ iconic album cover, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band as well as being a playful nod to the marching bands of The Salvation Army.

Meanwhile, a message of world peace includes The Ukrainian Peace monument, created by 16-year-old Mexican art prodigy, Osbelit Garcia-Morales. This display will stand temporarily at Strawberry Field until it’s safe to move to its permanent home in the Ukraine.

Time short…but your group has 20 minutes to spare?

Even for a brief visit, coach group guests can stretch their legs and explore the peaceful gardens of John’s childhood and the Imagine More Cafe or shop, the next time your group is nearby. Your coach driver can have a rest and will also be offered a free hot/cold drink. Strawberry Field is easily accessed by coach on the way into, or out of, Liverpool city centre.

Coach parking is nearby, at Menlove Avenue, with coach drop off/pick up in lay-by at the gate. Free admission and a hot beverage are provided to drivers, group leaders and carers. Groups of 10 or more should be booked in advance, and a visit duration of one to two hours is recommended. A team assisted media guide tour can be provided on request.
