Penderyn Distillery has opened its third whisky distillery in Wales, a unique distillery and bottling plant part of a landmark £1 billion transformation program launched by Swansea city council.

Penderyn Swansea Copperworks Distillery, which joins the Brecon and Llandudno sites, runs daily tours and will hold masterclasses. There is a shop on-site which opens seven days a week. It has been given a Visitor Attractions Quality Standard (VAQAS) accreditation and Gold Award for excellence.

Meanwhile, Hensol Castle Distillery, the gin producer located just outside Cardiff, has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2023 Travellers’ Choice award winner for its visitor experience for the second year in a row. The coveted award celebrates businesses that have consistently received great traveller reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the top 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.

Situated on the estate of the 4* Vale Resort, the distillery, which can be found in the cellars of the 400 year old Grade-I listed Hensol Castle, has group experiences available including a gin distillery tour, a gin making experience, plus a cocktail masterclass.
