Mersey Ferries has announced its 2024 programme for Manchester Ship Canal & Liverpool Bay Cruises.

The Manchester Ship Canal Cruise is a six-hour round-trip cruise and sails from Liverpool and Wirral along the Manchester Ship Canal to Warrington and back. Groups can relax as they travel under bridges mostly unchanged since they were built over 125 years ago, experiencing the rich legacy of Victorian architecture and engineering. The cruise will also provide views of the Mersey Estuary and Liverpool’s spectacular heritage waterfront.

Passengers will learn about the history of the canal and landmarks from a Blue Badge Guide live commentary. The cruise also features live music, and the fully licensed bar will be open throughout for snacks and drinks. The Manchester Ship Canal Cruise has a group rate of £42 per person.

Liverpool Bay Cruises are also on offer, including a three-hour trip taking in scenery from Liverpool’s waterfront.  Groups will learn more about the fascinating history and geography of the River Mersey and Liverpool Bay with expert commentary from a Blue Badge Guide.

This special sightseeing cruise will also give groups the chance to experience Anthony Gormley’s spectacular Another Place art installation at Crosby Beach, with views of the 100 cast-iron life-sized figures spread across the foreshore, stretching out into the sea. The cruise also features live music with a fully licensed bar, and the group rate is £22 per person.
