New CTA member Lomond Leisure Group is a family business with restaurants and bars in Central Scotland, focusing on hospitality, sustainability, environment, and character. The company has a portfolio of properties in Glasgow and Edinburgh and operates management contracts for clients in Loch Tay.

Lomond Leisure Group is welcoming coach groups in 2024 to its range of locations, including The Tolbooth Tavern in Edinburgh. Part of the original Canongate Tolbooth, which was built in 1591, this medieval building was used to collect tolls from travellers entering the burgh at the Canongate.

The ground floor became The Tolbooth Tavern in 1820 and today, the Tolbooth Tavern is a cosy traditional Scottish pub full of character and charm. It boasts a fantastic spot along the Royal Mile where the small exterior gives way to a spacious bar and mezzanine dining area.

Meanwhile, situated in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, Mharsanta offers a genuine taste of Scotland. The restaurant uses seasonal, local produce, with capacity in the main restaurant for 80, with up to a further 30 seated in its additional private dining room, The Hideout.

At Van Winkle’s Restaurant & Bar, with two locations, including Glasgow’s West End and Barrowlands, a Kentucky BBQ-inspired menu is served with a host of bourbon, beers, cocktails, and wine. Lomond Leisure Group says the venues serve a variety of wee plates, BBQ food, wings and home-made burgers and sandwiches. Van Winkle can also host a summer BBQ in its beer gardens, accommodating up to 150 guests, plus exclusive use of the venue with undercover outdoor beer garden if required.

Across to Loch Tay, The Boathouse Kitchen & Bar is located within the grounds of Loch Tay Highland Lodges and set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, near the town of Killin. Situated beside the marina and overlooking the Loch, The Boathouse Kitchen & Bar showcases some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland. Capacity in the main restaurant is 60, with a further 20 covers in the bar area. There is also a large outdoor dining area for groups and private events overlooking the water.
