The Heights of Abraham, claimed to be Derbyshire’s oldest visitor attraction, has announced that 2024 will be “A year of light and colour” as the destination celebrates 40 years of cable car flights and 50 years since the current owners took over the stewardship of the hilltop estate.

The cable cars have now restarted with the season opening on 10 February and The Heights will be celebrating the golden and ruby anniversary celebrations with new visual effects in the Great Masson Cavern (opening Easter), plus new exhibition displays about the construction of the cable car 40 years ago.

A programme of living history events, musical concerts, and seasonal entertainment will ensure the Heights is placed in the spotlight for a great day out. For more information, visit www.heightsofabraham.com/2024
