The Auckland Project in Bishop Auckland has launched a new group offer, including exclusive packages and discounts for groups, plus free familiarisation visits.

The project is a collection of heritage attractions, galleries, gardens and parkland in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, blending art, history and nature. The Auckland Project is centred around the magnificent Auckland Castle, one of the best-preserved bishop’s palaces in Europe.

New for 2023, the Faith Museum, opening on 7 October, will explore the impact of faith in Britain over 6,000 years with four new galleries and over 250 objects on display.

Groups can also enjoy 10 acres of beautiful gardens, 150 acres of historic parkland, and birds-eye views of the town from Auckland Tower. Art lovers can discover the Spanish Gallery and Mining Art Gallery, while Weardale Railway offers groups the opportunity to explore the beautiful Durham Dales. The Auckland Project’s attractions are located within walking distance of each other.

Groups of 10 or more can enjoy exclusive savings up to 15%, and complimentary familiarisation trips for group organisers are available. Free coach parking with a complimentary driver ticket is provided, along with a visit planning service and a warm Meet and Greet upon arrival. Groups are also welcome at Park Head Hotel, part of The Auckland Project.
