Located in the picturesque South Downs, a few miles from Arundel, West Sussex, Amberley Museum is perfect for regional and national coach tours near the south coast. It is keen to welcome coach groups and has recently joined CTA as a new member.

The Museum is suitable for stand-alone visits and tours taking in Portsmouth, Chichester, Arundel, Worthing and Brighton. It welcomes 55,000 visitors per year, who are able to travel back in time to the south’s industrial and rural past and enjoy a wealth of attractions. A narrow-gauge railway and buses operate a daily service around the site, which has over 40 different exhibits to discover on transport, industry, communications and crafts. These include an extensive TV and Radio exhibition, the only working Print Shop in the South of England, telecommunications and electricity exhibitions, the Paviors museum of Roadmaking, a fire station and collection of South Down vintage buses. There are also two nature walks to explore.

A typical visit, starting in the morning or early afternoon, lasts 2.5 hours, although many visitors spend longer here. The Museum hosts more than a hundred coaches a year and is keen to welcome more, particularly during the week. Coach parking is available with ample space adjacent to Amberley Railway Station.

The Museum offers an option for pre-booked light refreshments in its Limeburners Café. Hot meals are also available between 12 and 2.30pm and the café is a fully licensed venue.
