We have a spectacular Summer Networking event planned in Glasgow including some great trips to local attractions, a civic reception and Scotland Workshop for buyers. We are very grateful to our Partner member VisitScotland who are supporting the event for operator and wholesaler members.

The event starts on Sunday afternoon (24 July) with a Fam trip to the Riverside Museum and Clydeside Distillery close to our base, the Crowne Plaza hotel which is adjacent to the SEC. A civic reception precedes the evening dinner in the hotel with Scottish entertainment to follow.

On Monday morning (25 July) there is a Scotland Workshop with an opportunity for CTA operators and wholesalers to meet Scottish Suppliers. After lunch, we visit the beautiful Pollok Park including the newly reopened Burrell Collection, before a wonderful Picnic in the Park in the early evening (weather dependent). We depart after breakfast on Tuesday (26 July).

CTA operator and wholesaler members can attend for two nights, including lunches and dinners for just £55pp plus VAT

Sunday 24 July

1:30-3.30pm: Tour of Riverside Museum. Houses the city’s fabulous transport and technology collections, which have been gathered over the centuries and which reflect the important part Glasgow has played in the world through its contributions to heavy industries like shipbuilding, train manufacturing and engineering.

3:30-4:30pm: Tour of Clydeside Distillery. Dock yourself on the banks of the Clyde, and enjoy tales of Glasgow’s history and its bonds with the whisky industry. Welcome drink and tastings

6:30-7:00pm: Civic Reception held at Crowne Plaza. Civic reception to welcome guests to Glasgow

7:00-10:00pm: Dinner & Entertainment at Crowne Plaza

Monday 25 July

9:00am-12:30pm: VS Workshop at Crowne Plaza. Networking/Meetings between buyers & suppliers

12:30-1:30pm: Lunch at Crowne Plaza

2:00-3.45pm: Tour of The Burrell Collection. The Burrell Collection is now open, after a major refurbishment and redisplay. More of the Collection is on show than ever before and exciting new galleries bring the objects to life, including more than 90 digital displays offering interactive and immersive experiences for visitors of all ages.

4:00-5:30pm: Tour of Pollok House. Explore one of National Trust for Scotland’s grandest properties and enjoy a stroll through the surrounding Pollok Country Park.

5:30-7:30pm: Picnic in Park at Pollok House (weather dependent). The Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels will be bringing its 1881 Gin van to give delegates a chance to sample a summer cocktail.
