Best of Innsbruck has launched a new website bringing together three CTA member attractions in the Austrian city: Tiroler Abend with the Gundolf Family, Swarovski Crystal Worlds and Nordkette – Top of Innsbruck.

The website also provides additional destination information and 25 suggested European itineraries showing how Innsbruck can be incorporated into touring programmes.

The three attractions offer contrasting experiences, from traditional Tyrolean entertainment to contemporary art and Alpine scenery.

Tiroler Abend with the Gundolf Family presents traditional Tyrolean folk music, dancing, shoe-slapping, singing and yodelling at the Alpensaal theatre in central Innsbruck. The family has been performing in the city since 1967, with shows throughout the year and a three-course dinner available as an additional option. Find out more at tiroler-abend.com.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens near Innsbruck combines crystal installations, art and imaginative exhibition spaces. Designed by multimedia artist André Heller, the attraction opened in 1995 to mark the centenary of the Swarovski company and has welcomed more than 17 million visitors. Its Chambers of Wonder provide a range of indoor experiences, alongside a large Swarovski store. Visit Swarovski Crystal Worlds.

Nordkette – Top of Innsbruck connects the city centre with the surrounding Alpine landscape. A series of funicular and cable-car journeys takes visitors towards the Hafelekar viewpoint, at around 2,300 metres above sea level, with panoramic views of Innsbruck and the Karwendel nature park. Further information is available at nordkette.com.

Beyond the three attractions, the website offers 10 additional reasons to visit Innsbruck, covering places such as the Imperial Palace and Court Church, Ambras Castle, Alpenzoo, the Bergisel ski jump, historic Hall in Tirol and the city’s Christmas markets.

The website also features 25 suggested ways to include Innsbruck in a European tour, ranging from Austria and Bavaria itineraries to longer Alpine and Central European journeys. Although the suggestions are not specifically designed for coach operators, they’re useful for tour planners developing routes, selecting overnight stops or adding attractions to an existing programme.
