B&B Hotels, which has recently joined the Coach Tourism Association, has completed the refurbishment of all seven of its UK hotels, concluding an 18-month investment programme aimed at updating the group’s British portfolio.

The refurbishments cover properties in Birmingham, Cambridge, Derby, Heathrow, Inverness, Ipswich and Warrington. The group said the work included upgraded guest rooms and redesigned communal areas, with a focus on simpler layouts and updated interiors. Sustainability has also been incorporated into the programme. B&B Hotels said its operations are certified by the SOCOTEC testing, inspection and certification group, and that environmental measures have been integrated across the refurbished sites.

Patrick O’Connell, chief executive officer of B&B Hotels UK, said: “It’s been an incredible journey over the past 18 months launching seven hotels within the group. I’m incredibly grateful to the B and B UK team for all of their hard work and to our extensive portfolio of suppliers and partners along the way.”

With the refurbishment programme completed, the group said it is assessing further opportunities for expansion across major cities and
regional centres in the UK. The European budget hotel operator marked the milestone with a showcase event in Birmingham, which was attended by suppliers, business partners and customers.
