Crathes Castle

Located 18 miles from Aberdeen City, Crathes Castle is a 16th-century baronial castle set in an impressive 595-acre estate. Fairytale-like turrets, gargoyles of fantastic design and the ancient Horn of Leys given in 1323 by Robert the Bruce are just a few of the features of this historic castle.

On site, visitors can immerse themselves in cultural history at the castle, with fine antique furniture and painted ceilings, enjoy the walled garden and explore the estate, which offers six separate walking trails and the chance to spot squirrels, herons and kingfishers.
