DFDS FAM TO AMSTERDAM

DFDS is kindly offering BUYER delegates a complimentary special two-night Fam trip to Amsterdam which departs from Newcastle on the Tuesday evening, and returns on Thursday morning. The ship sails from Newcastle to Amsterdam at 17.00 on Tue 30 Jan, returning into Newcastle at 09.00 on 1 Feb 2024. (There is also an option for one-way to Amsterdam if you prefer to make your own arrangements to return home direct.)

Supplier members may join the DFDS Fam trip to Amsterdam at a rate of £118.10 for single occupancy; £185.20 for twin occupancy; and £176.70 for double occupancy. This price includes return travel on DFDS, plus two breakfasts and two dinners. The cost will be invoiced to you by DFDS direct.

Parking at the port is run by the Port of Tyne and is charged at £12 per 24 hours.

• Passport with at least 6 months validity
• Passenger and passport details as required by UK Borders and our booking system
• Check-in- International Passenger Terminal North Shields, NE29 6 EE
• Secure Parking- available on site at £12 per 24 hours

Transfer from Hotel to Port  – you can get the bus from the Newcastle station, but this will entail lugging your baggage through town to get there, my local advice would be to share a taxi directly from the hotel to the port. Total coast around £30.00

Baggage store whist in Amsterdam – we should arrive behind the central station in Amsterdam between 10.20 and 10.30, which should give time to drop luggage at the left Luggage in the station https://www.amsterdam.info/central-station/luggage-lockers/

Itinerary

Tuesday 30 January

• Check in 1500-1600- NO LATER
• 1700 ship departs for Amsterdam.
• 1745 Stand up welcome drink in small bar
• 1900 Dinner in  North Sea Bistro
• Time at leisure / shopping/entertainment in Columbus Lounge and Navigator’s bar

Wednesday 31 January

• 0700-0900 breakfast at leisure in Explorer restaurant

• 0930 Ship Arrives in Amsterdam ( Ijmuiden), disembark and passport control.
• Coach Transfer to Amsterdam and drop off @ Central station.
• 1045 (approx)   Arrive Amsterdam and opt in Canal tour (must be booked in advance)
• 1230 -1500 Free Time in Amsterdam
• 1500-1600 Return Coach transfers to port. The last coach leaves at 1600 prompt and will not wait – Please ensure you do not miss this as Taxis are expensive in Amsterdam!
• 1730 Ship departs for Newcastle.
• 2000 International Buffet in Explorers Restaurant and time at leisure

Thursday 1 February

• 0700-0900 breakfast at leisure in Explorer restaurant
• 0900 Ship arrives in Newcastle and disembarkation
