Fam trip in Newcastle

12.30 dep Hilton Newcastle Gateshead

12.45 arr Holiday Inn Newcastle Jesmond for lunch (booked for 13.00pm)

14.00 dep Holiday Inn for initial panoramic coach tour of the city (to view the Civic Centre, University area, St. James’ Park Football Ground, Town Walls, and part of the city centre). Alight coach in Market Street outside the Theatre Royal.

Walking tour – to include the classical city centre, Grey Street, Grey’s Monument, Grainger Market, Theatre Royal, St. Nicholas Cathedral, Castle and High Level Bridge. Tales of ‘Vera’ being filmed nearby.

15.30 continue coach tour – coach pick-up outside the Castle – drive to Brinkburn Street Brewery, Bar, and Kitchen (1A Ford Street, Byker, NE6 1NW) The visit will include a tour as well as craft ale tasting arranged by NGI (Newcastle Gateshead Initiative) and sponsored by the Brinkburn Brewery.

16.00 Conference attendees not able to arrive for the 12.30pm start can join the group at the brewery at 4pm.
