Travel to Peebles for buyer delegates on Fam

For travel to Peebles, take own transport direct or air/train to Edinburgh. If travelling by public transport, there are taxi options from Edinburgh with Tweedline Taxis. Book online through the website or by telephone 01721 723234. Sample quotes obtained by CTA –  from Edinburgh Airport to Peebles from £66; from Edinburgh Waverley to Peebles from £55.

On the Sunday morning there may be car share options with other delegates who are arriving with own transport. Other wise, taxi fare quoted from Peebles to Forth Boat Tours, Hawes Pier from £75.

If you are attending the Saturday lunchtime Forth Boat Tours event, you need to be at Hawes Pier by 13.00.

If travelling by own transport, parking at Hawes Pier is free (subject to availability)

If travelling into Edinburgh by train, you should book a connecting train from Edinburgh to Dalmeny station.(16 min from Edinburgh Waverley station).

 If arriving from Glasgow change at Edinburgh Haymarket station for the train to Dalmeny station ca 45 minutes total from Glasgow to Dalmeny by train. When you arrive at Dalmeny Station it is approximately a 600m walk to the boat at Hawes Pier. The vessel will be moored at Hawes Pier from 12:00.

If you are travelling by air to Edinburgh airport, board tram at the airport and disembark at Edinburgh Park, then take a train to Dalmeny Station – make sure that you board one that stops at Dalmeny!

Depending on demand, there may be a coach pick-up at 12.00 at Edinburgh airport. Please indicate your arrival time and preferences on the booking form.

Following the Forth Boat Tours trip, the coach will take all those who have arrived by public transport to Crieff Hydro, first stopping off at the Highland Hotel Sterling (Cairn Hotels) for tea and show-round.

For delegates not taking the Forth Boat trip on Saturday, or arriving on Sunday, head straight to the Crieff Hydro.

If you are travelling by public transport, the best option is to take a train to Perth and get a taxi from there (17 miles). Alternatively, car hire from Edinburgh airport or Waverley.
